  2. Specifically How did rights evolve in France between 1770-1789

  1. Students began writing their compare and contrast essay on John Locke and Thomas Hobbes.
  2. Laptops were provided for the students to begin typing the essay.  
  3. The rough draft is due WEDNESDAY 10/02/13.
  4. HOMEWORK: Continue working on the rough draft.

Period 3

  1. Completed French Revolution and Napoleon timeline.
  2. Watched the introduction to Napoleon video.

  1. Students completed a homework check on John Locke and Thomas Hobbes. 
  2. After collecting the homework checks we discussed the questions on the quiz.  While discussing the homework check we put notes on the board and the students were able to fill in gaps in their Venn Diagrams.
  3. We then went over the essay outline.  A model outline was presented to the students by the teacher.
HOMEWORK: Complete essay outline in preparation for writing the essay in class on Monday.

Period 2

  1. Class discussion on the state of man in nature.  Are people good or bad by nature
  2. We then handed out the reading on John Locke and Thomas Hobbes along with a Venn diagram.
  3.  Students are to read the selected sections of the material and fill in the Venn diagram.
HOMEWORK: Read the Locke and Hobbes comparison and fill in the Venn diagram.
